Short Biography
Dr. Uttom K. Shet is an Assistant Professor of Maxillofacial surgery department at Sapporo Dental College & Hospital under the University of Dhaka. He is a specialist in Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Uttom K. Shet graduated Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Dhaka Dental College under University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2003. His Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) registration number is 1988.
He started his Professional career from 2005 to 2007 as a dental surgeon at CHDPK project. Then he moved to South Korea in 2007 for higher study under the Korean Govt. Scholarship.
Dr. Uttom K. Shet obtained Master of surgery in dentistry (MSD) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Dental School, Chonnam National University, South Korea in 2009.
He has also finished PhD from Dental School, Chonnam National University, South Korea in 2013. He has published several articles in international Journal.
He has completed fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dept., Chonnam National University, South Korea.
Dr. Shet has attended several International Conferences and Training Hands on Workshop since 2007 and giving presentation on Implant dentistry. He has received advanced Implant training in USA (University of Southern California) South Korea (OSSTEM AIC Basic and Advance training Program) India (OSSTEM AIC Advance Sinus Surgery, soft and hard tissue Graft training Program).
Dr. Shet is renowned implant trainer in Bangladesh and working as a Course Director for conducting OSSTEM implant training program in Bangladesh. He has taught around 350 dentist to develop implant dentistry in Bangladesh.
Dr. Uttom K. Shet has blessed with one Son, Aranyak Shet and married to Dr. Aparajita Roy, she served as a medical officer in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.
